What does people think of Malaysia? |
Travel Info I'm really interested in hearing views from all over. Do drop an answer. Travel Tips we have the tallest twin towers in the world we are a racial harmony country our currency is low, but its rising our people are friendly we speak many languages we are 50years old this year we are malaysia. MALAYSIA BOLEH Others I think of somone special there now,he's so nice and gave good words to me.The precious thing is their friendship in that country you visit. Let's put it this way: IF a person have no valid reason to be there (like for work or business), then it's better NOT to visit Malaysia. Mediocrity reigns supreme there; from mindsets to shopping malls and just about everything else. Their neighbours Thailand and Singapore are just the opposite; wonderful tourist haven!! Visited Penang, Kwonton, and Kuala Lumpur, while in the Navy. Never had a bad experience while visiting Malaysia. people are nice, cheap shopping, save to travel around most things are good ,only thing bad is government is lousy. People in Malaysia are nice. Most drivers (not all) are inconsiderate on the road especially when it comes to Pedestrian/School crossings and parking. Like they own the bloody road. Only a few of them would actually stop and let kids and parents cross. Generally, multi-racially pleasant, good food and affordable. I'm a Malaysian. But there have been moments (more often than not) that I'd been ashamed to be associated with other fellow Malaysians. True, there are many educated people here, but not many learned. More so here in the city, I find. Where can you see them? On the road, driving like a maniac. At the parking lot, disregarding directions, parking spaces for the physically challenged, double, even triple parking. At the buffet line, even in 5-star hotels, piling their plates higher than a mountain, then leave the food unfinished. In the buses, trains, LRTs, pushing and shoving and not giving up seats for those who need them. Dog-owners, not picking up after their pets or worse, lead them to your front gate to do their business. Everywhere, litterbugs. Etc. etc. However, there are also genuinely nice, considerate, helpful and friendly Malaysians out there. Just don't go look for them at the above places. CONFESSION: I'm one of the culprits. ~*shamefaced*~ Living in the city, I'm constantly pressured to practise defensive driving. It's either that, or stay in. |
