Visit malaysia, visit singapore..?

malaysia is busy planning they visit malaysia 2007,
look at singapore, they do not have to do anything to promote their visit singapore..
they just let chow yun fat say "welcome to singapore" and their travel business boost.
why malaysia cant think of this brilliant idea to promote "visit malaysia 07" campaign?

It is not like Singapore Govt paid Disney to have that line 'Welcome to Singapore' to be an attraction. Singapore may not have a 'Visit Singapore Year', but rest assured that the Singapore Govt spent a lot to attract tourists, including the half-priced entrance fees to some tourist spots for Malaysians who crossed over for the May holidays.

Malaysia's record of incoming tourist is nothing insignificant. We have 6 more months before we can decide whether The Visit Malaysia is a failure or not. Despite the bad floor incident, which is out of the hand of the authority, Malaysia is still seeing a big number of tourists.

Yeah, Singapore is good, but Malaysia is better. Visit Malaysia 2007 is an anniversary. Many ideas can be created in the future.

By the way....I just watched Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End last Friday night and it was awesome. Even better than the last 2 films. Loved Johnny Depp. I can't think of anyone else who can played Jack Sparrow better.

Oh yes....my love for my country would dictate that I should say Malaysia is the better country but my head and conscience says Singapore would offer more.

They could have said welcome to Hongkong, china... But have to agree with u. brillant idea. Singapore don't have to pay ads. fee some more. Free advertisement reaching millions...

maybe we should bride the scripwriter sometimes..

but by having MU coming to malaysia is a great boost to tourism industry.. so malaysia already think of that..
Well, Chow Yun Fatt's wife is a Singaporean. So he was just doing his bit as a 'faithful son-in-law' of that country.
Maybe it isn't too bad an idea to get Jackie Chan to put in a good word or two, since his son Jaycee is reportedly dating Malaysian singer Penny Tai. Or is it Fish Leong, as well?
Better, double the conviction, double the results.
