You can take one of the registered airport taxis where payments are made in advance. You can ask the taxi to take you to the hotel of your choice or budget. Suggest you stay at any hotel on Jalan Bukit Bintang- which you can search upon arrival, but what I wont advise. I suggest Jalan Bukit Bintang because it's very convenient for tourists, though my favorite hotel in KL remains the Hotel Concorde on Jalan Sultan Ismail. You can book hotels at: http://www.hotels.com and http://www.asiarooms.com Booking in advance will ensure you reach the hotel directly from airport and can give a proper address to the cabbie. I don't really recommend to take the Taxi, you can take the train......... the taxi will cost RM100 or more, you know in midnight.. sometime cost little bit more..... but taxi is the great and fast way to reach KL city........... Use only the airport taxi service. Purchase the COUPON from the taxi carrier counter (ask for BUDGET, not Premium - bigger cars) Fares at that late hour should be about USD35 to KL CITY (USD23 - Msian: 80 normal fare plus 50%RM40 extra for late hour surcharge). The airport licensed taxi carrier is your best and quickest way from airport to your desired destionation; buses at that late hour can be inconvenient because you may have to take another city taxi from the bus terminal to your destination. Not advisable. you come cab cost 50 RM If you're travelling alone, take the KLIA EXPRESS, which get's you to the city centre in 30mins, and much cheaper compared to taxis. The KL Sentral Station has two 5 stars hotel adjacent to it, Hilton and Le Meridien. Room rates here starts from MYR450 - MYR800. If its your first time here, I suggest you take a taxi from the sentral station to KL City, (Bukit Bintang, Sultan Ismail Road), you'll find most of the hotels located here i.e Shang Ri La, Marriot, etc. Perhaps it would be best for you to book online given that it is Visit Malaysia Year and you can expect to find attractive hotel/tour packages to suit your budget. Take note, taxis are known to overcharge tourist, be sure to check with locals on the appropriate price for a taxi ride (route a to route b). The KLIA express can take u in 22 min with Rm45 to KL sentral.. you can rooms as cheap as RM 55 to 500/ 750 /etc., Hilton is right near KL sentral if u need a decent stay.. JUmp out of the railway station and find "Hotel Sentral" and u are bagging in with just 60RM per nite.. |
