Get your hotels thru the internet. Plenty of decent backpacker lodging in Bukit Bintang area. If you want something a little better, try www.asiatravel.com. You can visit most places in KL like museums, KLCC, KL tower, Batu Caves, Central Market, china town, Masjid Jamek, Dataran Merdeka, Bintang Walk using the bus services (RapidKL) or the LRT. Some of these places are close to each other, so you may even walk there. Lots of places to eat - this is a paradise when it comes to food. Clean, cheap - just follow a local. You may end up spending more if you like to wine and dine. Lots of money changes around - carry enough dollars, you can change it easily. This is a safe place, but please your common sense, basic rules of tourism apply. Take care of your own things. Finally, lots of facts available in the internet. Read them. |
