Why are some citizens in Malaysia considered second class? |
Travel Info So, Malaysia is finally moving forward, there's talk of going first world status by 2020, yet, half the population are discriminated against, considered and treated as second class citizens( non bumiputras), how and why is this justified? Travel Tips http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/bumiputra... Well, that articles surely made me open my eyes. If you read the speeches from the UMNO meetings, you would be surprise how racist some of the statements can be. Basically, they are saying, 'This is my land, you are living on it from our grace and if you don't like it, get back on the boat you came from'. Others Ru refering to the people belong to the beta grade person.? I gues everywea & evey country there's rich , middle or lower income people . As in m'sa - sri langka & KL consider in more status. there is not a single good reason why in the first place that are 2 classes of citizen Not true. Non-bumi's are not considered 2nd class citizens. There is no distinction between first class and second class but non-bumi's and bumi's. Non-bumiputeras, most of them, have to sweat blood to pay for their children's education, because the bumi's have the gov to help them there. Those who are lucky to get scholarships, well that's just a minority. In certain job sectors priority is given to them as well. They get the upper hand in almost everything, because apparently they can't do things themselves. And worse some are completely oblivious to the fact. This all started..(I can't remember exactly, my history is a bit fuzzy) because of an agreement a LONG time ago to help the bumi's run businesses and stuff. It was supposed to end but it didnt, seeing that well, who'd want something like that taken away? And among them, its the rich that gets more money while the poor becomes poorer. It's just not justifiable, for everyone else education is a way out of the situation they're in and the country itself. But that itself is tough. I don't really know why but for me everyones is in first class and there is no second class. We Malaysians right..? we has been Merdeka's for 50th years..so just treat everybody as the same you treat your love ones..^_^ Be kinds to everyones whether its bumi's on non bumi's.. Don't judge a book by its cover. the statement is only made by another human...it is an opinion.it is depend on you.. |
