Travel Info What is so great about malaysia? food? hospitalitiy? nature? people? Travel Tips i think malaysians are caring and helpful. -i almost gave birth in a shopping mall last year and a group of people quickly got up to help me and my husband gather my things qucikly so i could rush to the hospital. -my baby was crying in ikea, many mothers offered help to pacify my little baby. thats why mothers are special.. i think food in malaysia are aplenty to choose from. U can find food in every corner at any time of day. -i travelled a lot to many countries. certain city in foreign country, restaurants are scarced. Even to order room service i had to wait until they are open for business e.g; lunch time/dinner time only. malaysia has her natural beauty. - i love the beaches and the jungles, the plus point is that, other than occasional flood due to bad irrigation system, we are free from any major natural disaster. hospitality.. hmm..people are generally polite, i do encounter rude people but rarely. most people are polite and helpful. i guess, if i am nice to people, they treat me nice too. Others Who cares? More importantly, what's Paris Hilton doing this weekend? Do you think she'll wear Prada? the weather Great beaches, low cost accomodations and seaside service. You can sit on the beach in Bali and everything you need will walk up to you, from food to massages. I recommend the massage, very relaxing. Just make sure someone is with you watching your valuables. Other than that have a blast in the warm, tropical waters, visit the rain forests, soak up the colorful culture. I had a good time. Nothing is really great about Malaysia except for having one of the world's oldest rainforest (which is fast depleting), world heritage sites and some other 'world's man-made hoo-ha'. Too many misleading information and overrated advertisements/governmental intervention. Food is 'great' only when you know what to choose from the different varieties. There's no real 'Malaysian' food by the way, you got to be precise. Many of them are 'declared' 'Malaysian food' just for namesake, just like Chicken Rice as the 'national dish' of Singapore. Malaysian food is ever changing and always coming up with something new to become uniquely known as Malaysian (but more often, being given a foreign name). Malaysia's great when nobody gets into trouble with the 'locals'... Personally, I've had great memories of the wonderful people I've met and also the ugly ones along the way. There's a saying that I've picked up while meeting people of different experiences and travel logs. They say, Malaysia has the infrastructure of a first world country... but sadly, inhabited by people of third world mentality. Of course, it wasn't meant to sound discriminatory in any sense, but let's think about that... Definitely FOODS! Food and nature. Not the hospitality nor the people! |
