Is it illegal to equip vehicles with bluish white head lights in Malaysia? |
Travel Info Some vehicles still runing loose on the roads in Malaysia with this white irritating and dangerous glare to other road users. Is this supposed to be illegal (in many countries they are)? What is the Road & Transport Department (JPJ) doing about this? Already there are many cars tinted with dark screens yet no actions taken to the vehicle owners. Travel Tips yes its illegal but when traffic police stops them, the driver just have to pay rm10. then they continue their journey Others agree with you, very irritating and dangerous it's illegal, the JPJ need to put more effort on educating the public, and enforcement as well i even came across a car with red color head lights! Yes, It suppose to be illegal. It is also irritating & dangerous but I believe most of the user having a mentality of they will only be illegal if they were cought by Traffic Police & "BEING ISSUED A SUMMONS". Tinted Vehicles Aiyo...... today news paper say the new equipment just arrive & need some minor adjustment on the law mah & then only start to do the enforcement lor. no money, Huh!!! RM10 only ah, u sure so cheap kah. All the while I thought is RM50. These ppl thinks it is cool to use those lights and no doubt it is really distracting drivers at the opposite. These lights are called Xenon lights which in turn may blind the opposite drivers eyes for few second which may cause fatalities, i hope the JPJ will do something about it. These brightness can last as much as 6 months only... As for the tinted glass the JPJ has imported a scanning device from Europe to screen all heavily tinted glass soon.. We will wait and see if it really works for JPJ to clamp down on illegal drivers... yes! unless the car had a built in as original from factory then is legal. |
