Anyone been to Kukup in Johor? Is it ok to bring a one year old kid? |
Travel Info Need your help.. any photo blog to share? Travel Tips the last time i went was 2 yrs ago. its actually like a fisherman's village. we booked a place to stay (its not those kind of chalets but its a house..built on the sea water). the owner organised bbq and karaoke at nite for us..its fun but i don't really suggest for a 1 yr kid to go there as i encounter mosquitoes and the site of the surronding is not that healthy. this place is so called popular for its cheap seafood..but again to me its not that wonderful at all.. Others Ditto the first answer. You wouldn't want to risk catching dengue with the mossies everywhere. Plus the toilets are too clean. i've been thre before.it's a fishermen village.the houses there are on stilts above muddy soil.the lanes in the area have no railings.so beware of falling down while walking.overall,i didn't really like the place.not much activity there.you can go for the seafood though. I just went there a couple of weeks ago, and i dont see a problem bringing a 1 yr old kid there. But the question is what is your real worry for your kid ? Safety reasons ? or mabbe health ? been there twice. its a nice place to go have dinner there.. not recommended to stay for a one year old kid.. in fact the surrounding enviroment & swamp not a really great place to bring a one year old kid.. afterall u need to walk on wooden bridge or cement bridge to go to the resort... both are quite dangerous for one year old kid that just learn how to walk.. ur son might end up falling from the bridge.. its a nice place to go with nice food but not recommended to bring a one year old kid.. edit** not to mention about mosquito or insect bites.. sure u dont want ur son with marks & bites all over him.. have fun.. (photo's already deleted) cant find one.. Nothing much there only good for seafood restaurants. it is save to bring kit but i dont think your kid will like it. |
