What is the best way to get from Penang Intl Airport to Bukit Kayu Hitam? |
Travel Info I will be making the trip on a Sunday. Thanks Travel Tips rent a car at PEN airport, then drive all the way to BKH using North South Highway [PLUShighway route E1 north bound] -edit- OK, for back packers: take a cab/airport limo and say "jetty" to the driver. once reached the jetty, take a ferry ride to butterworth (on the mainland), then you'll reach a temporary bus terminal. there you have 2 choices - take a cab all the way to BKH [quite expensive] or to take a bus [TransNasional express bus] to AlorStar. From AlorStar, take a cab [i don't think there's an express bus service to BKH] to BKH Good luck and keep asking people on the street if you're not sure Others Boss is right. either rent a car or take a cab.. if u want adventure.. take a cab penang ferry.. take the ferry across the sea to butterworth.. upon arrival u'll see a bus station.. i'm sure there's a bus going up straight to Bukit Kayu Hitam.. if u dont want to take the risk just rent a car & drive.. the safest n easiest is rent a car...it's easy....from airport straight to penang bridge...directly to the north south highway...straight up to bukit kayu hitam...no turning left n right...toll charges less then rm20...bout 2 1/2-3hrs including stop over at R&R you only got 2 options, rent a car or by taxi. |
