Do Malaysians respect girl guitarist and respect 'em too?? |
Travel Info I, as a girl guitarist wonder whether Malaysians do respect the g guitarist. if they do, why dont expose 'em to the music industry??is there any company would like to do dat??i wonder..... Travel Tips Im a guitarist too. Yes people do respect femle guitarist. They are no diffrence between other artist. What kind of guiarist you are? Rock type like shakira, avril lavigne?or metal type like otep? or country/pop type like norah jones, etc? there are alot of labels malaysia, like deathstar productions... Others Are you familiar with Couple, or Lucy In The Loo? Both are prominent indie bands with female guitarists. Couple was promoted last year as Rolling Stones top 25 bands off Myspace, and their album is available in the US. IMHO as an indie musician myself, using the fact that their a girl to promote the music is simply sexist and quite dumb. If you want to make it as a girl guitarist, get a band and write good songs. There is a wonderful underground scene in KL that'll be more than willing to accomodate your music if you're good, ignoring the fact if you're a girl or guy. My personal opinion is that girls who play guitar are hot, respect to them. I've played with a girl on the 6 strings in my last band, they're no different from guys when it comes to music. yes.. why not.. girl can be a guitarist..join a band.. or form your own girl band. maybe some day we'll see u playing in hard rock cafe. aint it cool. ur a girl? btw i think girl guitarist are mostly hot so i respect them! Dude, u've had sex change op????? Or are u a girl trapped in a male's body???? i'll respect them if they are playing as good as YUI hehehe... What kind of question is that? Are you asking if we Malaysian men are sexist? That only happens in the US, not Malaysia. |
