Taxi from KL sentral to jalan Ampang?

How much approximately is the cost of taxi from KL sentral to Hotel Corus in jalan Ampang? Is it near? thanks

The distance is only about 20km but you have to go through the City to get to that hotel. Depending on the time of the day the traffic can be bad and travelling time could be as high as 1.5 hours. Taxi Fare is about RM25 (US$7) or more, if it is jammed.

It's not far. It should cost only RM5-6. However, in many parts of the city, taxi drivers won't put the meter on,and will ask for a flat fare in the teens of Ringgits.
You could take the Monorail from KL Sentral to the station near the Concorde Hotel on Jalan Sultan Ismail, which is adjacent to Jalan Ampang.
dont worry its not gonna cost you more than RM10. a cheaper alternative would be to take the LRT at KL Sentral to KLCC (about RM2) and from KLCC, walk to the hotel. its soooo near...
Once you get into the taxi from KL Sentral, the flag rate is RM10.00 (surcharge and stuff). Best to continue with another train into Ampang and from there flag a taxi.
