Thanks Travel Tips i have been eyeing on a particular princess cut diamond solitaire in a jeweller's shop near my place and now working hard to buy it. ok.. seriously, gold are cheap and of good value to buy here in malaysia. jewellers as poh kong, habib, carat club sells them cheap. available in white gold or yellow gold 22ct/24ct. Most popular ones are 22ct. Others Get it from the established large gold shop chains like: Tomei Poh Kong They are found in almost every shopping complex in town. The established chains usually do not fleece you and will protect their name. Smaller shops, do bargain a bit. 9 ct gold is not popular in Malaysia. 18 ct is available but 22 & 24 ct are what the locals prefer. Why get 18 ct when you can get 22 ct or 24 ct. Gold prices vary by the day. The goldsmith usually charge you only for the gold and nothing much (even FOC) for the workmanship. Buy it at "poh kong" , "tomei" and other you can find in in major shopping centers. the are genuine gold shops. 18 K is not so common here but you ll still find it.it usually come with some like diamond and others semi precious stone. it is known as 750 gold. however 22K or 916 are much popular here. 24 k or 999/pure gold are also common here. 9K is not common at all, hardly you can find it here. price of gold is depending on the current market. the price are quite standard every shop and the price is set by Malaysia gold society. habib jewel is having a sale...discount till 50% n gold price is rm5 off per gram Malta is an island in the middle of the Mediterranean.
