malaysia is a nice place to go to. They have very nice food at very cheap price. Like dining at restaurant for very nice seafood and stuffs like that will cost you RM 50-100 ... There are many wonderful states. Eg: penang, kuantan, kl ( the capital ), johor, malacca ( historic place )...There are only airport in KL and somewhere near johor. So if you wanna travel to kuantan from K.L, it will take you 5hrs of car journey. It depends what kind of airline you take. For malaysia airline, you can check with MAS. Not too sure... It used to be a super place in the sixties. Don't kmow what it is like nowadays. Much more developed and westernised I believe.

I think it depends upon what you mean by 'nice'! I have spent much time there and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a large country with many different attractions, ranging from the city of Kuala Lumpur to the coolness of the Cameron Highlands. You will find public transport to be good - though you may wish to hire a car. You will also find the people to be most friendly and cheerful. Although Singapore Island is not, strictly, part of Malaysia, you must - you really must! - take the opportunity to visit this 'Lion City'. There is, incidentally, a direct rail link between KL and Singapore.

As far as the cost of flying is concerned, the best informant is a travel agent. I can thoroughly recommend Malaysian Airlines.
