Travel Tips In Johor Bahru, the immigration officials will board the train and walk from coach to coach stamping people's passports but in Singapore, you will have to get down at the immigration complex (your train will stop there) with your baggage and queue at a lane. If you are a Singaporean, queue at lanes bearing 'SINGAPORE PASSPORTS'. If you are a Malaysian, queue at lanes bearing 'MALAYSIAN PASSPORTS'. If you are from another country, queue at lanes bearing 'OTHER PASSPORTS'.When you got through, you will have to wait for a few minutes. when the officers open the doors to the platform, board the train at your coach. That last stretch from the border to the main station in Singapore took for ever!! I think it would be better perhaps to dissembark there at the border and take the city light rail system, which is fast, clean and very efficient Perhaps some Singaporeans can correct me if I am wrong. |
