Bandong the pink milk drink from Malaysia..? |
Travel Info I drank so much of this stuff when i was there i nearly went pink myself! Is there anywhere i can buy this in the UK? mail order perhaps? Travel Tips its a mixture of rose syrup and coconut milk, try it your self Others its sugar in pink colour, very unhealthy drink Not sure if you can buy "rose" syrup from Waitrose ... the syrup gives bandung its pink hue. Then just add (full or low fat) milk and if you can buy it, evaporated milk too. Enjoy! Made lots of it as a kid .... In the UK there are some Malaysian or chinese supermarkets in chinatown where you can buy the 'rose' syrup and is red color. Then you add to it sweet condensed milk with water to make the 'air bandung' that u drank while in msia. Finally, remember, don drink and drive.... Air bandung... Mardi Gras is not allowed but air bandung is... rose syrup (the totally artificial one with way too much sugar), creamer (the totally artificial "milk") and water, there you are... you should be able to mix that up yourself in the UK but don't expect enthusiastic crowds to flock to your house... all of them above are right, plus, add some ice cream soda to the drink and you'll get real 'pink' |
