Travel Info I heard its a great inspiring movie and all that & I was looking forward to it so much....especially when they put up the poster in Cineleisure, Kota Damansara, I think... Why the heck would they put up the poster when they're not releasing it?!?? freaking daft... Travel Tips Didn't they ban Schindler's List too because it might provoke sympathy for the Jews?. What do you expect....no seriously. Others BANNED? I'm not surprised but it is disappointing since I am looking forward to this latest movie... Sigh, this is one of the things that makes me sick about being in Malaysia... ***** LaBonat, I suggest you read the Malaysian school's textbooks on how they 'racially integrate' Malaysians and how they brainwash kids about Malay supremacy by distorting history. I think movies like Freedom Writers are really mild to the reality faced by Malaysians today, when it comes to those 'negativities' you have just mentioned, with all respect :-) Canned??? I prefer spanking. because they did not wish to enlighten the locals on ideas such as those.. the normally prefer stupid movies like sumo-lah or mami jarum that has no real values to inspire instead. Parents should know that this film deals with students who are surrounded references to violence and murders and some moderately graphic situations. Characters use some strong language, including racial epithets. There are references to drugs and sex. The movie's strengths include its positive portrayal of racial tolerance but it's a descent movie which deserves to be seen. A little too simplified and exaggerated at times. i'm looking forward on book of Southern Thailand massacre.. ehhehe.. Yeah, ban this, cut that, etc. Most of the time, the editing is so bad, we would not know what happened!! ---------------- |
