I would like to know details on living at miri (sarawak, malaysia)? |
Travel Info I am joining curtin sarawak university. I would like to get info all about living in miri. Travel Tips helo..im mirian.. erm..you gonna study at miri,curtin??okok.curtin consider as senadin area. good news:then better living near to your uni.which state is called 'senadin'. but there is quite far to airport.its near the bridge to Brunei.a lot of students living there also.there got a big market[not that big as KL] called 'e-markt'.there got a lot of cheap things also.foods is cheaps. or also Permy Jaya.is near to senadin.dont worries there got a lot shops.even it is far to the city.from there to city needs to take 20mins.not really far right?Miri is a small city only:) bad news:senadin lines is not really good as city.sometimes the hp line is low.there got a lot theft cases also.even my cousin which is guy also dont dare to stay alone.His bike was stole.get to watch up your passport.importance things! or you can stay pujut areas.it is not really far to curtin. about the miri life.if you know how to save.you may save a lot.if attracted by the environments here,you may lose the mood to study.cause miri city got Pubs,Karaoke,Dancing places,cinema,shopping,drinks[... guys likes to drink here.dont know why?haha] etc! but also have gardens.city fans,Taman Awam,Bulatan park[jogging],Esplanade [beach],Tanjung[beach] etc. Shopping : Boulevard , Imperial and parkson[cinema].THATS IT.haha. foods : Dynasty hotel buffet [fri,sat night only.have to reserve seats.RM38++per person] [for noon is RM25++per person in everyday] 2020 [dim sam RM2.50 per one] Kingwood Seahouse[in front of Hot Cross Bun] chops is nice and cheap. RM8 till RM28++ Michael steam boat [RM20 per person unlimited] 'xin mei wei' [curry fish is famous] grance place [ buffet again RM40+], imperial hotel [buffet RM40+] too many places to intro again.haha not really nice shopping here.cause not that cheap as KL. Pustaka library - open from 11am - 7pm[holiday close] Public swimming pool - monday and public holidays is close. anything to ask me??i willing to answer you;) Hope can help you my infor! Others sorry would love to help, but i graduated from a university in samarahan area.... all i know is, most of miri people are rich and the night life there is much better than kuching one, which in kuching most restaurants began to close down by 9pm... all the best heard its a nice place to be.. :D |
