Bomb in Kuala Lumpur?

So, my nationalistic and patriotic Malaysian friends... there was a bomb explosion in Puduraya (bomb went off at 9.10pm yesterday injuring an 11 year old girl)...

It was just exactly the things that Dave and I have been warning you in an earlier post (but were denied that Malaysia is safe, Malaysia is peaceful, Malaysia is bla bla bla)...

Are you guys still gonna keep quiet about this? Is it just another one of your 'isolated event' claims?

One young and innocent girl is injured... some Malaysians are still picking on Thailand and overlooking his own country's security and threat situation (and telling others how great and peaceful Malaysia is)...

Does this event finally given you new insights/realization of what kind of threat you guys are facing? Or are you still laid back (despite the threat of bird flu too)?

I believe Dave should have something to say about this too...

It is really a shock after reading your posting cos I really do not know that there is a bomb exploded in Pudu Raya! I m also one of the malaysian that really do not believe it would happened to Malaysia. Hey! if you were talking about terrorism we lost out in terms of western expat and US ally to our southern neighbour or even Bali or Thailand in term of tourist. SO who want to waste the bomb and bomb it in Malaysia? Nevertheless, it is still not impossible. But what can we do should "bad things" happened in Malaysia? The government should have plans and contingency plans and "what to dos" for the citizens should it be a bomb threat or explosion, tsunami, earthquake, bird flu or etc etc!
But how? One is busy honeymooning, another one is busy seeing his lawyer for the pending court case then there are many many others doing other errands or leaking cases....left those who are concern but were neglected and comments and suggestions were always turned to deaf ear.

p/s you cant compared the preparation done by the european countries, australia, singapore or Japan SHOULD bird flu really breakout because these countries has their citizens to answer to! (I think you and Dave should know what I meant)

huh of my god!! at puduraya?? seriously ?? was it on the news .???. thank god i wasnt in KL this week...

EDIT: ah ah yes it was on the news.. just watched it ..i mean at the terminal somemore where theres loads of people..
whether it was done by a local or not ..ahhh i'm still freaking out
arr now my dad wont let me go there alone!!!

My heart goes out to the little girl and anyone who has been hurt but I don't think it's anything but an isolated event.
Actually I do believe Malaysia is safe..
well thank God nobody got killed...and the bomb not that powerful we should be thankful that the terrorist not that smart to produce powerful bomb and i'm sure the police will catch the maniacs..malaysia is still peaceful and safe compared to thailand or the US but definitely not safer than singapore..and its not the country's fault that the bird flu spread it spreads naturally through the birds so should we blame the birds or the government? and threats exists in all forms and in all countries why do you blame malaysia only? i dont get it..every country has it own threats/disasters..so why should you blame malaysia only? and what if the terrorists turns out to be a thai? or arabs? or a US citizen? but most likely the terrorists is malaysian..if so then why should we blame malaysia? its the sick peoples we should blame not the government..if you dont agree then should we blame the thai government about all the bombings there? no we blame the crazy peoples. have a nice day!

edit: oo ok then sorry my bad...yeah the bombing affects malaysian tourism and also the floods that is happening..i still believe malaysia is safe not the safest but it is still enough to feel safe not like other countries..we should be thankful.

Oh!! Bomb in Puduraya? I have to watch the news now.....

It is not an Anti-Malaysia thingy as someone mentioned above....it is factual truth which lots of people dare not tread on lest they be tread on...lol....but they only speak their heart and soul in the coffee shops!!! Therefore, it is the truth!!

Other than that, I personally think and feel Malaysia is ONE of the safest and peaceful countries in the world when compared to others...
