From a foreigner point of view, yes, it is very much so. They have the Malay supremacy attitude. That is the very reason why they want an imaginary enemy or are being nasty to their neighbors, so that they can keep harmony within their ethnicity.

To tell you the truth, Malays are way too dependent on the government that there are more Malays than non-Malays in certain sectors. Well, so far I don't encounter any racism from any Malays.
does the idea of supremer malay raise is truth?
I got no idea on this, besides, your usage of English is quite broad/unspecific here. Would you care to elaborate?

does malaysia got a good mix as they said?
Yes it does, but only to a certain extent. Again, your question here is too broad.

If you are referring to racially, there IS a real good mix of races in Malaysia BUT Malaysians today don't seem to mix with one another in accordance to their claims. This is evident in the way how government officers treat one another, the police force and you'll be surprised that it is evident even in medical treatments!

Anyway... racism is evident in Malaysian politics and social lifestyle. The government have been backing this all along and ironically people have learned to live with it and some even live up to it (and still call others racists)...

Before you guys blame the government for being racist, who voted for them in the first place? Who does the government represent, by the way?

By the way, I do agree with some that the Bummys do have their 'privileges', but let's look at reality. Many of them don't really have them and are pretty much the same as the others. This privilege is only prevalent in University, Medical and Loan 'advantages'. Many non-Bummys are still too picky with this privilege thing but in fact, its just a small issue to raise about. The real issue is about being treated as second class citizens in the country they are born! How long will they bare to consider themselves 'immigrants'?
basically malaysian people are not racist... but the govt do. just look at the policies they made, all quotas etc. they divide us according to our race. the more ununite we are, the more easy for them to rule/manipulate the country.
many wise malays are aware of that. but some malays still holding on the 'special privilage' they have. thinking that is for their own good. the real party who benefit from this is the govt.
I am Malaysian. Basically we all live in harmony and we cooperate together. But the policy of the government make us all apart. Government differentiate between Malay, Chinese and Indian.

The give special privileges to Malays and at the same time give something different to other races. This is not good but we had to accept it.
Observation from a Non-Malaysian: Generally most of the Malaysians are friendly towards each other but are NOT friends.

One should consider the ethnic composition (and percentage of each ethnic group) of the different races in Malaysia before making any "race supremacy" issue as it is a sensitive topic. So much so the rights of the bumiputeras are enshrined in the National Constitution; which means questioning it publicly is forbidden (jailable offence).

It is not a question of whether it's justified, it's political reflecting the demographic profile of the country. The democratically elected government is composed of the main ethnic group: the Malays; as such it would take a truly idealistic leader (non-partisan) to distribute the same equalities to all 3 major ethnicities. Malaysians being Asian in origin are not as matured politically as the Western European countries, Australia, N Zealand - Asians are and can be very emotional; sometimes these emotions are harmful to the society in which they live in if left unchecked. Examples: mass protests, civil disturbances in the S E Asian countries, India, Pakistan often lead to violence even deaths. The breakdown of law & order is anarchy and this is totally not conducive for the economy of the country.
