How safe is our town? |
Travel Info I thk u know which town I mean, cases still happened even they have caught the suspect, anyone from that town that can tell us more? Travel Tips I guess you are referring to Johor Bahru... I'm from Singapore, and have been to Malaysia quite a lot of time. Till now, I've not meet any unwanted trouble since, it was great there for a vacation there. But the frequent reports about 'cases' there kept bothering me. Since my family drive a car there, the thoughts of having the car stolen haunt us. From what I know from our local newspaper, there had been a lot of Singapore cars stolen in Malaysia, particularly those big and expensive cars, and finding them back is like finding a needle in a haystack. It was believe that those stolen cars were stripped down and the parts sold to various locations. Because of that, my family only drive a car for short journey, and will take a coach for long distance like going to Genting. To add on to that, there were also frequent murder cases in JB. The most recent I know is a Singapore business man stabbed to death in a petrol station in JB. As u know, the crime rate is rather high despite the increased efforts of the police. It's like a inevitable thing in JB. But i'll continue to visit Malaysia, less frequently that is. Source(s): Personal experience as a singaporean. Other Travel Tips sorry, i really do not know which town you're referring to. would you tell me? it's definitely scary in malaysia Oh I know what town you're talking about! Not. I'd appreciate it of you told me what town you are referring too. Yes, it is safe now. The police are only making up those stories to keep people scared. Then they feel like you need them. Go ahead, leave you door unlocked, you are safer than most people in urban areas. which town, waaaaaa so many town here. even the ones at your hometown couldnt be safe. we just have to be careful, step out of the house, speak some prayer and thank God when we arrive home safely. my younger brother had once encounter a samseng asking him to hand over his handphone in open space, that doesnt mean we have to move out everytime cases happen. |
