Travel Info I'm planning a 3D2N Port Dickson. Any suggestions on activities and restaurants? tks? Travel Tips wow... what a great time... having a holiday... anyway... i am not from n.sembilan... however, i'll try my best 2 give you some informtion. :) as you know, port dickson is well-known for its beaches... so... thats already the main attraction for you... walk along the beaches... relaxing... play in the sea... watching sunset... about restaurant, why not have a trying the quite famous seafood...: oppositise of marina resort... there is a restaurant. and every saturday, at PD town, there is a pasar malam... and just some where batu 9, there is a famous ostrich farm.... a nice place for a visit... and if you like to back to the nature... try a walk at tanjung tuan (ilham hotel)... suitable especially on morning walk... and if i am not mistaken, if you can get some tourist agent, they do provide a half day trip cost aroud... RM50 (if not yet increase) which included take a ride on boat going out on sea... a meal (chinese cuisine), fishing... coral watch... o ya... there is a new tourist attraction places for a visit. especially for youth... called as Eagle Range, which you can axactly nearly close to the nature activities... shooting... car racing.... ang many many more... ( reference on PD eagle ranch: http://www.cuti.com.my/hotel/info.php?id... my suggestion for you... day1: check in hotel. take rest, lunch, ostrich farm visit, dinner (seafood), free and easy... day2: tanjung tuan visit, lunch, PD eagle ranch visit, dinner, sunset, pasar malam, free and easy... day3:play at beach, buy souvenior, lunch, sayonara... i hope my information do help you... anyway... enjoy yourself... :) cuti cuti malaysia... Others This is a dead place, dirty and dangerous beach. Well it really depends on where you're at. The beach over there isn't really great but I must suggest that the usual watersports like jetski and catamaran is a must (though I doubt it is commonly found there). You might find some nice seafood restaurants nearby (its along the coastal road). I don't recall the names of any particular restaurants but as usual these places will come to mind once you're there. Have fun and good luck! i actually hate port dickson but that's because my father used to work there. so imagine spending a lot of school holidays there ;p we usually go to this chinese kopitiam in the town...i don't remember the name but it is with a bunch of old shops and there's magnum or maybank next to it i think. they serve the best roti bakar with kaya there...and also hainanese chicken/pork chop.. sorry not too sure whether you are muslim or not. My best advice would be to go somewhere else. Port Dickson abuses the privilege of being called a one horse town. There are however, for some strange reason, many resort hotels located on the beach road. One good (albeit expensive) one is Avillion Beach Resort. But 3 days in Port Dickson is about 71 hours and 30 minutes too long. Activities? Sleeping is perhaps your best bet. Restaurants? Take your own food. I guess I'm trying to say Port Dickson really isn't worth the effort of driving there. It is all depends on where you stay in Port Dickson, if you stay in Eagle Ranch Resort, they have an outdoor activities inclusive of go-kart and horse riding. There are lots of seafood restaurants, go for seafood :)) |
