ok. since you just mention about kota bahru, so, any places that is far from there i wont state again. here what i can tell you is, ya, the pengkalan kubor is a nice place for you 2 shop. and its jz opposite of thailand... by a river... known as sg golok... and also the pcb beach, last time known as pantai cinta berahi... since kelantan state is under malay cultures gov, so, the name had been change many years ago into pandai cahaya bulan, also same PCB. and also there is a muzium u can visit. n near there, got a famous chinese kopitiam which u can see also many malays will also having their meal inside there... thats what v called as mix cultures... o ya, dont 4got the batik, n also must try the nasi kerabu, somtam (kind of papaya kerabu salad), keropok (fish or prawn) and not far from the town got a waterfall but i 4got the name... sorry... o ya, b4 u plan 2 visit, there, make sure its not end of the year or early of the year since the tropical monson period that could reason the flood... the suitable period is after february-september.... but nowaday, whoever also cant estimate the weather... hehe... have a nice day n enjoy ur trip...
p/s: i m sure u heard abt wayang kulit b4 but is was banned by the kelantan gov since many years ago, as in the islamic cultures, its kind of entertainment thats is not couraged!!! n make sure u don wear to little clothes.... hehe...

Kota Bharu not Baharu
Kota Bharu. usually people come to kota bharu to shop at Rantau Panjang and Pengkalan Kubur. Both of the place near to the Thailand borderline. Kota Bharu also famous of their Nasi kerabu. Plus Dodol and Serunding also famous in Kota Bharu, you can see how this traditional food are made. mm... you also can see the Istana Lama, Istana Batu, in the middle of the Kota Bharu town. sorry my English is bad.... hua...hua... you can see a lot of shop... that is why women from other country come to Kota Bharu to shop. women love shopping in Kota bharu.
Technically, I am not a fan of Kota Bharu, but if you want to go there, you can see a lot of traditional lifestyles there, pantai cahaya and lots of farms.
Shopping parade...... WOW!
