Well, I do not really know where you are coming from but it is quite a favorite amongst foreigners who love to buy them as souvenirs. I used to bring some as gifts when I travel to meet friends abroad. Most of them still remember them as 'gift from Malaysia' until today, if we were to meet up again or contact on the phone. Its something they'd cherish as it is reusable (if they are using it) and it is multi-purpose... Besides that, you might want to buy electronic items like MP3 players, dvd players, dvds (get the original, you wouldn't want to steal... why buy pirated goods?), computer parts, etc. Malaysia offers one of the cheapest electronic goods in the region. Clothes, antiques, furnitures, carvings are optional (as some are imported from other regions)... Have fun and good luck! Others Movies..You can get tons of new movies there for less than $2 a movie and very good quality. Good deal is when you are there to get that deal. I got a great deal for one of my cars here in the US. I only paid $2000.00 for a two years old sport car. I imagine that you might get good deal for jewelry in Malaysia also. Just be careful, everything is cost more for out of the town buyer, who have money and looking for good deal and WANT the items. Pirated DVD. Very cheap only RM5 each. Get the clothes and shoes. Movies and food are cheaper too. Have fun! i found a lot of white guys were buying Pirated DVD dont be afraid of durians.. get them =) |
