Travel Tips
ATTENTION DEAR TRAVELER,

use only RINGGIT MALAYSIA in malaysia. USD/EURO are only acceptable in hotels.

BEWARE OF FAKE MONEY...

DO NOT ACCEPT 1 RINGGIT COIN in golden color. Because it is unusable.

The country's currency is Ringgit. Well, the exchange rate doesn't have a sea change as far as i know... The standard one should be 2.228... try ur luck....
US$ or Euro is fine.

Lots to moneychangers around for you to change as and when you need to convert to the Malaysian currency: ringgit.
Please use RM
The Malaysian Ringitt is the only real currency that is accepted everywhere. Shy away from using foreign currency- it's disrespectful and you'll have trouble in many places. The exchange rate for Americans and Australians is also terrific.
you must have Ringgit (Malaysian money). US dollar is accepted in most hotels but not in shopping malls or restaurants (apart from hotels restaurants) though.
I always take ringgit, which is the local currency. I take a small amount and my ATM card so I can withdraw what I need as I need it. It's better than carrying wodges of cash around and it saves on currency exchange commission.
