Why are some users here so mean?

I am new here but after going through some of the answers I find that there are so many fights between a group of people and Bear. I respect Bear a lot and I wish to say that he is actually very helpful and friendly. In fact the things that he said to those weird people who insulted him were quite true (though I don't usually see or hear him cursing at anyone unless they really get him on his nerves)...

I have gone through many of his answers and I found nothing wrong with them except for some cheeky ones and I still don't get it why some people are so abusive towards Bear and Thai people... he lived in Malaysia for many years and very knowledgable about the country. He speaks a lot of sense compared to some other users.

How can we all have fun and not being too sensitive towards other people's comments? Like TheBear says, we all have a choice to answer or not, or just ignore and move on right?

What goes online is pretty similar to the real world as well. Bad/ mean people exists everywhere whether you like it or not.
Ultimately, it's up to you to make it better by being a bigger person and not encourage their behavior by simply ignoring it (which is wisely put by TheBear)

yes we have a choice to answer and move on, and the "asker" takes a risk of asking thousands of strangers their opinion, if someone needs/wants serious answers they should probably get a therapist, and this is a lesson the "asker" should learn, the world can be cruel, and you willingly opened up to it

yeah ppl are mean on here just like how you get mean ppl out on the streets.. they are everywhere lol. im happy im not like that...
This site is reflective of the world. The world is fallen. Sad isn't it?
So the point of asking this question was to point out that bear is not mean, but smart and that you are related to him??
