I am looking to working as a teacher in Malaysia--any ideas--? |
Travel Info i want to migrate to Malaysia--how are the job opportunities--i have lived overseas all my life--Hk,Bkk,and now living in India--i know a few languages--I have pretty much travelled to about 20 countries and their cities--so its like i want to teach what i have learnt and share all the great experience that i went through and i would like to teach in a Malaysian school -middle school, preferably in KL-Kuala Lumpur-help pls Travel Tips Sure! I can be your first student :-) There are several International Schools in Kuala Lumpur like Sayfol, Garden, ISKL and so forth. Just search on the web and you'll find tons of information on them. What matters most is about how you can accept their local policies towards foreigners. It can be mind boggling sometimes. You can try though, experience it... but I won't guarantee if you'll find this place any better than India. I would think that Hong Kong is more similar to Bangkok. My girlfriend is a teacher from Thailand and she had initially thought of working here as a teacher but after a few trips and careful observations, she changed her mind... On the other hand, a friend of mine is married to an Indian national who is a lecturer at a private college here in Kuala Lumpur. She is complaining of the work culture and certain ethical issues (sexual harassments, etc.)... its still up to you to decide on. Maybe come here to take a look to weigh on its consequences or make your own judgments rather than my own personal opinion (though they are first hand accounts)... what say you? Others yah it's a good idea and you like to meet maney people but why don't you like to meet me. YaH.......thats a great idea wow.. malaysians wanna migrate out.. other people wanna mmigrate in... think carefully... u might not get ur citizenship.. my dad has already applied his citizenship for 34years, but he still cant get it. --what is your nationality?-- I recommend you to teach in private colleges because the pay is better than government school and u will have expat priority. it is nice oppertunity for you which should be grabbed provided what's the accommodation and ur salary n all that, teachin their in malasiya would b a good expereience for u. Opportunities are everywhere here in Malaysia, only thing is you have go through the right channel to apply. The private colleges offers good remuneration and it's open to anyone who have the qualification to teach. To teach in the government school you need to have a degree in our local university.
