Do you think that PERODUA KANCIL is the most popular cars in the country?? |
Travel Info In kk, if i was in a traffic jam, 9 out of 10 cars are Kancil. 8 out of 10 cars in a car park are Malaysian made cars. What do you think? Travel Tips My baby's battery-powered motorcycle is stronger than Kancil... People buy it because it's the cheapest. Why most of the cars on Malaysian cars are Malaysian-made cars is because they're cheap compare to imported cars. Car prices in Malaysia are high and a Savvy is cheaper in the UK than here (like somebody wants to buy it there). All imported cars need to be paid 180 to 300 % tax. Thanks to Dr M and his brainchild Proton now Malaysians buy their cars expensive. Abolish those taxes and let Proton, Perodua and Naza start manufacturing quality cars as they'd have to compete with foreign brands. At least Malaysians would get something for their money. No airbags? No ABS? Come on... Others yes, i notice that, but what to do, i think we don't have much choice. used to be; i owned one before too. i was in kk 2 months back , and actually did notice many kancils on the road. yes indeed, quality wise they r better than proton. Anyway, msian got no choice other than purchasing this car bcos of high taxes on imported cars I would say the popularity stems from the fact that it is the most affordable car for the population in general, relative to an average family income. I rather see more Perodua's on the road than motorcycles. Do average Malaysians have any other choice? Prices for everything are increasing, but not our salary. Even after salary adjustment for civil servants, traders react by increasing the prices further more. Perodua cars are the only affordable cars with reasonable quality (vs Proton) due to high duties for imported cars. |
