I find that people from small countries like Malaysia are very proud. I think it is the David and Golliath story: people feel good to come from somewhere that is smaller than many other places but has achieved great things. So Malaysians look at Singapore, HK, Japan etc. and think they are doing very well compared to the advantages these other places have. However, I also think that Malaysians openly discuss how great their country is - but in private complain like everyone else about the problems it has. In USA - people openly complan about the problems - but do not always recognize the good things that they take for granted.

What? With lots of pickpockets? Society must have been crazy.

here i have learn everything from a-z and from naive to be some that will have diploma ( i hope i will futher my study )
here is the only one country that have in my surat beranak
everywhere I go, I'm proud to say that "saya anak malaysia"

no need the reason for country that give you everything, the country that smile when u r born, the country that maybe will be ur last place...
You are proud of your country because of the stellar grasp of English they have bestowed upon you? What kind of question is that? Who can answer why you are proud of something? Who knows, maybe it's because you squat when you pee and clean your bum with your hands?

If you can post a meaningless answer like that, why is it not fair for me to do the same?
i have no idea, unless you tell me. only you and god know the reasons why
