It really depends on how much you are willing to spend. Seriously...
I just spent a month in KL, in a very nice hotel, rubbed shoulders with the locals, ran in the right circles etc. KL, for the most part, is a very conservative city because of their strong Muslim values and laws, however, because it is a big city, it does have it's big city problems, so there is of course an underground. And, I am not the type that picks up hookers, but in KL you will have plenty of opportunitiy to do so, so I offer the following (non-judgemental) advice.
I wasn't very impressed by the local girls, partly because most of them were covered with a head-scarf and I couldn't really see what they looked like. I am used to seeing little old ladies in Europe and the US wearing headscarves, so naturally my eyes associated all of the Muslim girls as little old ladies and I naturally looked elsewhere. They may have been some pretty cute girls, but you'll never get past the head scarf, so don't bother. The best looking women in KL are other tourists, as well as the Chineese and Indian transplants, so hit the tourist spots but be aware that if you are looking for a hooker, then go to a hooker locale, such as the Beach Club, where you will be accosted by some average looking local girls wanting to drain your wallet. KL has quite a few "boom-boom room" hotels disguised as massage parlors and reflexology parlors, but I hear that you could get yourself thrown out a window if you don't agree to the price. Or if you want to be exposed to a more upscale crowd, I suggest going to the SkyBar in the Traders Hotel right beside the Exxon Mobile building on the border of the KLCC park. Most nights there is no cover, they play some really good music and the tables are little niches beside the pool with a direct 33rd floor view of the twin towers. Most nights there is no cover, and the bartenders are artists with a cocktail. But bars are bars wherever you are, they are usually filled with people checking out other people that are usually too shy to talk to each other because they are putting on a front of sophistication that they are unwilling to blow, because they are too busy trying to look cool. So I suggest that if you just want to hang out and meet someone casually and not have to worry about putting on airs, then go to Bukit Bintang on most any evening, and hang out in one of the food vendors sidewalk cafe areas. I heard conversations in many European and Russian languages and met quite a few people that way, and didn't have to pay for their company either.
Been there, done that.
Hot women in april...hmm...no hot anymore - rainy season. come here now, they're still hot

sometimes it puzzles me. people usually like 'cool stuff' like cool place to go, cool friends to hang out with,... and so on.

but when it comes to women, they want something hot. why ah?
