Where are the cheaper guesthouses/hostels in Kuala Lumpur? |
Travel Info Which area of Kuala Lumpur can we find cheap rooms (4-6 USD for double)? Where is the Kuala Lumpur equivalent of Khosarn Road of Bangkok and Pahar Ganj of New Delhi? We want to be near the center, manage to get some sleep and keep relatively clean and keep uncomfortable enough to be motivated to leave in just a few days. Thanks for the replies. Travel Tips You can try the areas of Chinatown or the Golden Triangle (around Bukit Bintang). Many backpackers there. I just came back from Malaysia and have spend my time in KL in the golden triangle. The guesthouse I was in was a bit too expensive for your costs, but here is a website that reviews guesthouses etc and also in most cases has pics of them. I found it a great help. http://www.hostelz.com/hostels/malaysia/... Have fun! Others You're a very naughty naughty boy..... The Pudu Hostel was a cheap, convenient place to stay in KL. The rooms are very small and pretty much just a place to sleep, but there is a very nice communal area with couches, TVs, and an entire room with about 50 computers. They have lots of helpful information for things to do in KL. It is more of a youth hostel, but i don't think there are any age restrictions. It also has AC which is really nice. I would definitely recommend Pudu. |
