What do you think about foreigners? |
Travel Info I find this website good for foreigners and Malaysian to exchange views about Malaysia and share the community. www.malaysiaexpat.com Travel Tips Personally and frankly speaking.as a hotelier like myself...i always looking forward to meet and giving the best service to them whenever they check in to our hotel..Foreigners..its always depends on from which country they are coming from..some are pretty nice and friendly..while some are patheticly annoying too. I always prefer foreign tourist who came from UK, Aussie, Germany and Japan..they are so lively when communicating and tips were generous too! We were suddenly like old friends!! and until now, most of them are still in contact with me via email time to time..some even came back for a holiday and again i will be their personal guide in KL... While like i said earlier..some were annoying....like for an example, i had this one guest from the Saudi Arabia who behave like he owns the hotel..he ordering us to do ridiculous things like wanted to change room at a middle of the night..just because he hates his room which was so messy after he and his family ate all the pistacios nuts and threw the skin all over the floor..when we offered to clean up his room..he said its already midnite..and they all wanted to go to bed!! can you imagine that?? when he giving so much of fuss..then we just want him to feel happy and we gave him a clean room..the nightmare didnt end there..i just dont know what was his problem..he keeps on calling the room service at least about 6-7 times for a just plain water to be delivered to his to room in the middle of the night until next morning...when he check out, we still smile at him and wave him goodbye even after the weird and annoying moment... and the best part is..after he checked out from the new clean room we gave him earlier....the room maid said that the room was so messy with pistacios nuts all over the carpet, again!! well, anyway..i will always love looking forward to meet them wherever i go..cheers lad! Others As our world gets "smaller" with easier access between places, more and more people will cease to be called foreigners. Malaysia, for instance was actually a foreign country to the immigrant Chinese and Indians a hundred years ago. Today, though predominantly Malay, it is home to many diversed ethnic groups. Unlike many countries torn by ethnic strife, Malaysians will have a special place in world history for the friendly and unique embracing of different cultures yet with each retaining its own specialness. Personally, I welcome visitors (instead of foreigners) to Malaysia. We have the riches of many worlds: in our cultures, in our natural surroundings, in our resources, in our potential, even in our moderate pace and politics. Because of what we are, I have many friends from all over the world and through them, I have many places I can call home whenever I visit! good for you |
