Hello,i would like to know what is the punishment for overstaying in malaysia for 5 monthes? |
Travel Info hi there i came to malaysia as a tourist and i had some problem ,i couldnt come back to my country and i am overstayed for 5 monthes.what is the punishment and how to fix it Travel Tips I dont think they will bother. You will be hung, shot and given a lethal injection. YOU must go the Malaysian Bar Council in KL - No.13, 15&17 Leboh Pasar Besar TELEPHONE: 03-2031 3003 before you do anything else. They should advise you accordingly. Don't just show up at the Immigration HQ Malaysia (Jln Duta) but eventually you have to. Malaysia Bar Council runs Legal Aid advice FREE of charge. Do go and talk to them. Do not worry unnescessarily, you did not commit a crime - it's just overstaying, an immigration offence. Chances are you will only be deported. Unless the officer is having a bad day...best be prepared for the worst. |
