Are javanese considered as malay? |
Travel Info Are javanese considered as malay? Travel Tips ALRIGHT ALRIGHT LETS MAKE IT SHORT!! The Javanese are an ethnic group native to the Indonesian island of Java. They are predominantly located in the central to eastern parts of the island. At 90 million people (as of 2004) it is the largest ethnic group on the island, and also in Indonesia. Most Javanese are Muslim. Some also follow Christianity (Protestantism and Catholicism). This is also true in rural areas. In Indonesia, Javanese can be found in all professions, especially in the government and the military. Traditionally, most Javanese are farmers. Others for some reason I thought "indonesian"....... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/java_(islan... javanese is considered as indonesian.. while indonesian, malaysian, and filipino considered as malay race.. If Malays need them to increase their number, they are considered as Malays, but normally they are "Indons". Not really .. Javanese is the name of the people living or originated from the Indonesian island of Java .. And Malay's are the people living or originated from the country of Malaysia. Even if they use a very similar language which is the "bahasa Malaysia or Indonesia", they are not originated from the same country. http://www.questia.com/pm.qst?a=o&se=ggl... Yes, javanese do considered as malay group. |
