Which university in Malaysia is better for engineering for foreigners? Multimedia / Petronas/ UTM/ UPM? |
Travel Info Please serious replies.... Travel Tips Depends what you mean as better. Does better mean cheap, technical content, career prospect, recognition? If you are going for cost, well you can easily check each university's website and compare the costs. Technical content - I think most universities are quite good. I don't have any empirical evidence however I think you'd be struggling to find an engineering lecturer who does not understand anything about engineering, in any university. About career prospect and recognition, well unfortunately the malaysian universities are lacking in these, add into the fact that their worldwide rankings have been steadily decreasing over the years. Therefore the best approach is to go for the british or australian universities with branches in Malaysia - for example Nottingham or Monash university. You get quality control and also the degree is internationally recognised. Source(s): experience Other Travel Tips depends what kind of engineering. basically, local uni really sucks. low quality and poor english. should try Help University College or Monash university. i dont recomend them but if you must choose go for Multimedia university. i agree the the 1st person who answer your question. 1. Budget? 2. Have you got a sponsor? 3. What engineering? 4. There are other universities as well. If you're budgeting for Petronas (UTP) you better apply for Swinburne University, RM 20k cheaper and Swinburne degree is better. UTM and UPM are cheaper than MMU and UTP, though UTP and MMU aren't necesarily better. I think there isn't much difference, though I'm not sure of engineering courses in MMU. i might be an engineer None. Try the universities in singapore, hongkong, taiwan and india. i am sorry if this sounds harsh. |
