Terengganu 鈥榥ot ready for tourists鈥??

this was highlighted by the state's goverment. i was just wondering why is that when its visit malaysia year only then everyone is so busy in making their state pretty, otherwise its just left unattended to...is this the malaysian behaviour or what...i makes me mad to think that why all the last minute work, what were they doing all these years....its such a shameful thing to read that Terengganu being popular for its turttle watching which many tourist are keen on seeing are disappointed with remarks like this by the goverment.

Not only Terengganu. The whole of Malaysia. What does malaysia have that others dont have? So why come to Malaysia for its beaches, buildings, shopping, etc when you can go to Phuket, Bali, Vietnam? Incidently dont you know there are no more turtles? Thanks to the great Malaysian tourist policy of non conservation. And as a tourist on the beach in Terengganu - what can you eat? what can you drink? You MUST eat Malaysian food and drink Teh Tarik! What about my pasta, or rigatoni or even a simple chef's salad? And I want to drink beer! Cold beer on the beach! No I must drink teh tarik. I must be completely malaysian to be a tourist in Malaysia. All your beach resorts in east coast, the hill resorts of Maxwell hill, Frasers hill, Gunung Jerai. The whole lot - only warongs to eat nasi. And go look at Marang - THE beach resort of Terengganu. They are still building the jetty, the shops near the jetty, a mosque which they built and tore down and built again. And this is visit Malaysia year. And They are just starting to build all these tourist places . I am not even going to talk about garbage - all over Malaysia. Yes go look. Are they ready for tourists? Not in another 20 years. Even then, Maybe.

but whut i know terengganu s rich with its beautiful islands and for me i go to terengganu every each year for vacations. as i see it is fine place! and terengganuese ppl seem to keep their state clean! =)

oh by de way im headin to pulau redang this saturday! weee!! just cant wait!! and probably will stay in berjaya redang resort! the best resort ever!

terengganu-ians need to be more open-minded. tourists tend to wear shorts and sleeveless tops since malaysia is really really hot!

i accidentally wore shorts there once and people stared at me as if i had a third eye!

the resorts and hotels are okay with it though, since it's the services industry where the customer is always right!
