Travel Tips The Maldives is the safest place in the world - it is amazing - I went to Kuredu in Ocotber last year with my husband and three children - it was perfect except for the fact that we did have a lot of rain, even though it was still warm, The very best time to go is in April/May for guaranteed sunshine with no rain! The snorkelling is fantastic so do not forget your gear and also a rash vest - you van get these from the Decathlon stores, (when you are snorkelling you can be out there for hours and not realise it as it is breathtaking) so plenty of sunscreen is needed. It is really expensive to buy out there because everything has to be imported onto the islands. Also if you are a chocoholic (like me) take some with you as this is really expensive as well. You will have a great time! Others My sister went in oct last year and had the best holiday ever,so enjoy. as for the weather, monsoon season is may-oct, best months to go are nov-march. you will most probably miss the worst of any bad weather, but do not be put off, as it is really warm there all year round!! it would only be bits of rain that you may get, i dont see you would have a problem. also if it does rain, it tends to be in shorter spells anyway. The Maldives is very safe. You will be able to relax and enjoy yourself. The major problem you will have each day is to decide if you want to swim in the ocean or in the pool. So use both each day and you will have no worries in the Maldives. Enjoy. October will bring some quick shows and some winds (making surfing better) -- you will not be disappointed. Get some accurate information from the local weather office ... Weather ... http://www.meteorology.gov.mv/ We went to Bandos last october for 2weeks and the weather was brilliant we had half an hour of rain one day, the more northern atolls get the worst weather in the monsoon season. We got 2weeks in bandos for 拢600 per person B&B, which is a very good price, we usually go in feb-march time and it's real pricey then. Yes! it is extremely safe. there isn't even a jail because no one has ever committed a crime! |
