What is the best resort in the Maldives? |
Travel Info Looking for 4* Hotel, Peaceful, Nice Rooms, Good Experience... Travel Tips Hi! I have a great website I use to find information on where to stay. It's called www.tripadvisor.com , and PLEASE check it out. Basically you search where you'd like to travel and the website gives u lists of hotels and B&B's in the locaiton. The kicker is that all the hotels are rated and commented on by people who have actually stayed there! So you can read about their experiences and see their evaluations of the places. It has like thousands of reviews and pretty much lists every hotel/motel that exists. Plus, you can book directly from the website or just check prices. It's worth checking it out, and make sure to look at the top ten hotels because those have recieved the best ratings/reviews. HAVE FUN! Others According to TripAdvisor users it's Angsana Resort & Spa Maldives Ihuru on the Male Atoll. It averages $510 per night. You can read all the details, thirty reviews, and more popular hotels in the Maldives below... http://www.tripadvisor.com/hotels-g29857... http://www.tripadvisor.com/hotels-g29395... I had the unique experience to do tsunami construction 'relief' (which was repair) in the Maldives... All the resorts are nice there, beaches are beautiful, water is fascinating. I'd recommend Reethi Rah Resort. It is a One and Only Resort and I believe its a 5*. It was just about to open...brand new everything, when the tsunami hit and they re-re-did the whole place. The way the island was designed , with a canal thru the middle, only made it have a really high tide.....They have 5 (4?) restaurants - one being a Japaneese (YUM)! And they grow their own veggies, fruit, herbs etc on the island..You order from the menu and they go pick it! Each 'room' is its own building, some are on land others are over the water... You can get full service-room service there! THere's a pastry chef, wine expert, a number of specialty chefs and they pride themselves on perfection. The bad part of it is it's about an hour or so boat ride from Male, the capital island... but they ferry people everywhere, you can make reservations at a neighboring island resort for dinner and they'll take you there. I mostly worked while I was there but I was high enough on the chart to go to the restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner to critique them... I did not see the activities going on as I left a week before the first guests arrived. Check out the One and Only website, they have 2 resorts in the Maldives, Reethi Rah and Kanahura... Have fun!! Been there! Hilton Maldives at Rangali Island is the best stay at water villa the rate is Around us$600 per night. sorry |
