Travel Info Would like your opinion on Coconut Village in the Maldives. We are going there in April? Travel Tips its great Others I haven't been there, but if you're looking for opinions, here are some reviews on Kuramathi (Coconut) Village in Maldives: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews-all-... We went to Kuramathi a couple of years ago and stayed at The Cottage Club and Spa. It was the most amazing place. I believe the Coconut village is at the posh end of the island! Don't go for the all inclusive option at the family end of the island. It's nice but not as nice as having a water bungalow. We went in March and had wonderful weather and only one bit of rain for 5 mins. We stayed in a water bungalow and it was stunning. Every evening we would watch the sun go down and schools of dolphins swimming past. During the day we watched all kinds of fish swimming around. We could just walk down our steps and be swimming with them! The food was amazing, we would eat in the little open air cafe and my favourite was the pineapple rice served in a pineapple shell. The staff are amazingly friendly but also know when to keep their distance. Whilst we were there we hardly saw anyone else, even though there is a lot of people on the Island. We are planning to go back soon - and I think that it would be a perfect choice for you. However I would recommend that you pay extra and get the Sea Taxi (seaplanes) it's a great way to arrive and a lot quicker than the boat. I would suggest a great website for hotel reviews called tripadvisor. It will give you travellers opinions and experiences of different countries, hotels and resorts |
