Seychelles/Maldives reccomendations.?

Travel Info
We are thinking of going to either the seychelles or the maldives sometime within the next year or so.
Whens it best for weather? July/Aug? jan/feb? Sorry I just havent got a clue about the weather on these islands.
Anyone been who can reccomend any certain places to stay?? Whilst I realise it will be expensive, i dont want anything that will be astronomicaly priced.

I believe its the monsoon season in the maldives during july/aug. So there will be lots of rain and you wont enjoy that much. Seychelles has a more tropical climate. It could be sunny, rain for a few minutes then be sunny again. And its like that all year round.

Other Travel Tips
I preferred the Seychelles. There aren't as many tourists (they only allow a certain number in each year) so the beaches are quite empty. If you want to get away from it all, try the little island of La Digue. The only public transport is horse-drawn carriage!
