Any good bars / venues to go to in Manchester? |
Travel Info I am in Manchester for 3 nights next week, travelling alone. Never been before and looking for tips on best places to go for a good night out. Travel Tips Loads of places to go and it depends on what sort of night you are looking for. Castlefield - couple of pubs, Dukes 92, can sit outdoors if weather is nice Canal Street/the Village - gay district, plenty of bars welcome hetero/gay people Northern Quarter - wine bars/pubs are far more down to earth, funky/media set tend to go there. Bluu is good for cocktails Deansgate Locks - row upon row of bars - tends to attract the 'out of towners' type at weekends, not sure what its like on a weekday. Check out the listings on www.manchester.com or www.manchesteronline.co.uk for guides to pubs/clubs/restaurants. Have a good time! and remember to bring a brolly ;-) Others No, it's a sh*t hole Wetherspoons Moon Under Water full of alco's and city types. Manchester is not a **** hole for the people who are writing that. It is a great city, try down Deansgate its got very nice resturants and bars. I know you will enjoy your stay.
