Other Travel Tips each suitcase that you carry should be no more than 50 lbs frequent flier That would depend on where your flight starts and what kind of ticket you bought!? Normally for transatlantic flights you can take 2 suitcases each having 30kg of luggage!! I'm American and have flown over many, many times ( husband is British) I worked for the Homeland Security and the limit per luggage is 50 lbs. you are allowed 2 pieces per person.
