Charles street, manchester, how far from city centre? |
Travel Info Hi I have never been to Manchester and want to know where Charles Street is, that is where I will be staying. Thanks Travel Tips 1/4 of a mile Others why not look on a map? www.streetmap.com I'd say it was city centre - it's between Oxford Road and Princess Street. Head south of the gay village and look for the BBC, you'll be close. Alternatively, search for it on Yahoo Maps... My husband's father has an office on Charles Street! It's right next to the BBC building, off Oxford Road - just near Oxford Road Station, and on all the major bus routes. It's a bit of a walk into the city centre - about 15-20 minutes, depending on your destination - you can walk along Princess Street, through Chinatown, towards Picadilly, or you can stroll down Oxford Road to the Library and through to the Town Hall and shopping beyond.
