Is parking in Manchester free on Sundays? |
Travel Info It was a few years ago but is it now? Travel Tips If you park across the road from Collyhurst police station there is a car park there that is only attended on weekdays. ergo parking is free at weekend. This is because the old guy who runs it only charges 拢2 during the week compared to 拢8 in the centre (which happens to be only 5 minutes walk away - Just head towards the CIS building). He probably doesn't think its worth his while at weekend because most of his clients are just workers in Manchester who only work 5 days. Its a well used route by buses who have there own bus lane and its quite well lit and populated by pedestrians so its not like its a back street or anything. Do beware about parking on the streets in Manchester as the traffic wardens get a bit slap happy with the tickets and cars have been known to have been towed away since the arndale bombing. If you haven't been to Manchester for a while I would say its well worth a visit because its all been revamped and is great for shopping and sight-seeing. Source(s): Born live work (and die probably) in Manchester Other Travel Tips Parking in/on residential streets is free sat/sun .Anywhere else ie:private land/buisness is probably at a charge?check first.(costly) Nope :o( Parking in Stretford Arndale is tho, so you could always get the bus in to Mcr from there :os yep...but take your wheels with you.....and your 9mm Glock..! Its a crap hole so do what you have to and get out quick..!! Nuff said... Yes if you can find a spot, use the Metro I think it depends where you park. You can park on single yellow lines, all day on sundays, but watch for pay and display areas! |
