Travel Tips
Check out the Peak District, lots of greenery, lots of beautiful villages. Easy, and lovely drive into Manchester, or train!

Others
Ilkleys lovely if you dont mind a drive, yorkshires nice too.....
stockport.leafy green and quite pleasant, with railway connections.
It depends which side of Manchester you will need. Cheshire and Derbyshire are always good, but my favourite is Hebden Bridge and Todmordern.
Didsbury is great, has lovely parks etc but sill on the edge of the city

Knutsford and Wilsmlow are beautiful but slightly further - still commuter belt though
