I am thinking of going on honeymoon to mauritius.. Please help with details? |
Travel Info i.e. Which Hotel? How far from Airport? things to do there? Price and Which airline? Many thanks Travel Tips If you visit the following site, you will find interesting packages for honeymoon in Mauritius, as well as places to visit: http://mauritius.honeymoonspecial.net/... Airlines available to travel to Mauritius are: Air France, British Airways, Air India, Air Mauritius, Emirates, South African Airways, to name but a few. Source(s): lm Other Travel Tips One detail would be to bring a husband or wife. Mauritius is small, but the raods aren't great. Airport is in the south east, but the far extreme at the reosrts oin the north is only a couple of hours by coach. If you have a bit of cash, a helicopter is a cool way to arrive and costs about 拢500 and 15 minutes - great way to start the honeymoon! Taj Exotica on the west cost is the best hotel, but most expensive. Things there are cheap, but the decent hotels have uk prices for food/drink Pay a visit to your friendly travel agent and ask for the following brochures: Thomas cook signature worldwide first choice tropical Thomas Cook tropical shores (check to see if mauritus is listed, im not sure) airtours far and away cosmos distant dreams I think Virgin do it as well but i cant remember which brochure its in. The airline will vary depending on who you choose to book with, as will the price. The flight will be a scheduled one, which will hike the price up a bit, but as for hotel you will have to flick thru the brochures and see which one you like the look of best. Mauritius isn't your average tourist hotsport, it has everything tourists can need, but it is still very secluded and quiet. if you like watersports and a bit of nightlife you will be disappointed. Hope this helps. Good luck and congratulations on your wedding i am a travel agent for thomas cook I am just back from there...nice place to visit. To answer your question. Check out www.tripadvisor.co.uk , this will give travellers / guests opinions on all the hotels on the island, in all the price brackets to assist you in your decision making. Le Sangerainne and Le Toussorok ( Apologies for spelling )are at the 5 * end of the market We stayed at the very North of the Island next to Grande Baie which was a journey of about 1hr from the airport. Things to do and see :- Usual sort of activities you would expect on a tropical island. Sight seeing, watersports ( Underwater SCUBA Bikes for two...looked good oh...and getting sunburned obviously. We wanted a cheap week in the sun and stayed at the Coin De Mire hotel. ( Great location only 5 mins from the main town mentioned above. 2 - 3 star) booked through Kuoni. Flew with BA and our baggage flew 2 days later. ( Do not trust their domestic connection times from Heathrow. Not enough time to get your bags from Terminal 1 to Terminal 4 in anything under 2 hrs) as they only fly every other day. Good flight other than that. Speaking to a few fellow guests...they went with Air Mauritius and Air France mixture ( a lot of time wlaking about airports for connections) |
