Travel Info What are things to do in Mauritius? I will be there for a week and will stay in a B&B? Travel Tips Don't bother coming, the place is a cess pool. The coral reefs are all dying due to overdevelopment. The hotels pump raw sewage straight into the lagoon so most of the coral is either dead or covered in brown weed. Its not safe to walk around at night and Mauritius has no night life anyway. Pick pocketing is rampant and the biggest thieves are the politicians. Mauritius may once have been the pearl of the Indian ocean, but you know the old saying of casting pearls before swine. The beautiful pearl that was once Mauritius is now somewhere in the mud at the bottom of the pig pen. Things to do. 1. Gaze at the broken and dying coral in the lagoons 2. Take a bus ride into the city and choke to death on the fumes 3. Go to the market and get robbed by pick pockets 4. Hire a car to go touring and end up in a ditch because some ignorant twit ran you off the road (the drivers here are psychotic) Enjoy! Others Welcome to Magical Mauritius!
