Does anyone know what the weather is like in August in Mauritius? |

BBC forecast for Mauritius (updated daily): http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?... august season in mauritius in kinda winter, but s winter in mauritius is like 20-25*c on d coast in 15-20*c on d midland, if u want hot weather december is d best,,,,,,,,,, last year august i went there,around the 24th and it was rainy because it was their winter!there was still sunshine but i think u should visit in november because thats what the locals told us. August is the coldest month in Mauritius. Temperatures are usually in the 70's (mid 20's celcius) during the day, but I have seen it go as low as mid 50's (15-16 celcius)at night. I personally don't mind it, gives a refreshing break, but don't enjoy swimming during that season. Also, because it is winter time, there is less evidence of the natural beauty of Mauritius. Most of the flowering trees, etc. are resting. My favorite time to be in Mauritius is in April or May. It is still warm but not AS hot as in summer, and everything is still pretty. Not easy to have an island holiday with "Hot" weather in August because this is the coldest season in the Southern Hemisphere. Maybe you would be interested in Corsica in the Mediteranean. French island off the south of France. Very cool place and hot in August. |
