Travel Info I have some friends from there; and I am thinking of visiting because it's so mulitcultural, and beautiful....oh and I love Mauritius girls....okay well the ones I know are great.... Anyone live or been there? What are your thoughts? Travel Tips MAURITIUS is a small island, of volcanic origin, of approximately 1865 square kilometres situated in the Indian Ocean. It is almost entirely surrounded with coral reefs, and has beautiful white sand beaches and blue lagoons; it has a central plateau and beautiful mountains. It is approximately 2000 km from Durban (South Africa), 6000 km from Perth (Australia) and 4700 km from Bombay (India). Its population is made up of various ethnic groups, namely Indian, Chinese, Muslim, European, and Creole (people of African origin). Its a melting pot of cultures, hence different types of cuisine. There are many beach hotels all around the island, as well as others in town. Last December, there were so many tourists that all the hotels were completely booked. It's a place worth visiting. Hope you will be able to travel to MAURITIUS in a not too distant future. Source(s): A Mauritian - LM Other Travel Tips here,check out ( e-shopping worldwide ) www.************/irblue i lived there for 3 years and i yearn to go back. it has beautiful beaches, diverse cultures, GOOD FOOD! it's also pretty safe. whether you're contemplating on going on holiday or what to settle there, i'd say go for it.it's a wonderful place to feel free and happy. and there's this one town called Curepipe where it rains most time and it's cool all year round. so if you get tired of the Mauritian heat, you can go there for a while then head back to the sunny hot beaches when you're ready.....Mauritius is absolutely wonderful well mauritius just rocks!!!!it is so beautiful n serene!!!well not only the girls around in mru but almost all the mauritians just too gud!!!all living just like 1 big family!!!!once u visit mauritius u cant get over it n wat u want is just to come back again n again......... i visited it last year and it was AWESOME.i'd do anything for a chance to go back |
