Anyone else new to Melbourne? |
Travel Info Any advice of where to go? best nightlife etc. Im from London so am used to a pretty crazy nightlife. any of that to be found over here? Travel Tips I'm not sure how you define "crazy nightlife" but Melbourne has a lot to offer after dark. The city is more about intimate bars and live music than clubs. Visit the tourist info office at Federation Square and pick up a pack of "Drink" cards. It has 52 great bars, all within the CBD. While you're there, pick up the "Dine" and "Shop" cards too. For live music check out the street press magazines Beat and InPress every week -- they'll tell you what's happening. Also the Melbourne Comedy Festival is on at the moment, so make sure you catch a show -- laughing together is a great way to meet new people too.
