Travel Tips
G'day,

Are you planning to move by yourself or with family?

If you are student, you may want to be part of the student exchange program so at least you can 'try' to live in Australia temporarily. Depending on which country you come from, you may be able to change your visa status in Australia.

If you are planning to come to Australia in other ways, then I suggest you to visit the immigration dept. website below with some information in it on how to migrate to Australia.

Hope this helps. Good luck and welcome to Australia :) Source(s): www.immi.gov.au

difficult in what way???? I cant answer your question properly without more information. Whats wrong with moving to australia from wherever you are. You sound a bit young to moving alone to another country. but as long as you do your homework on the cost of living here and jobs and where to live etc or have you got friends/family over here - things would be easier - but people have to start somewhere. Need more info on what you mean difficult????
this depends from where ur coming from. From england, its not a problem, from the USA it gets hardre because of security. and u also have to prove that u can support urself for at leadt 3 month in Australia. msg me if ya wanna know more, cos i live in melbourne.
I moved to Aussie at 19... I found it challenging to be away from my friends and family. But Australian's are generally friendly and it's not the hardest place in the world to navigate. I stayed at a University residence, which was good because I got to meet lots of people and had the support of the hostel. I had a great time. I would suggest trying to hook into some support networks when you arrive - there is lots in the way of international student support services or community centres or local low cost counselling services. That way you'll have a bit of help to settle in. Oh, and buy Ambulance Insurance. It's cheap per year and will save you a packet if you need an ambulance. Also look in the front of the phone b ook for local services you might need.
no depending on what you are doing if you work in a office its frustrating and easyish but out on the farm it is harder but it pays off[and say you love lamb on the BBQ if you are a meat eater]
i live in australia
